Like the great
French Master Gaugin the almost
childlike batik style of painting-so
popular on our island-is awash with
primitive expressionism. We have a
studio (or gallery depending on your
appreciation) on the premises. Wall
panels, window screens, sarongs,
dresses, scarves and even body
shirts are all available to the
traveling artisan. Each batik is a
unique creation on Sudanese cotton
bearing the indelible stamp of the
proprietress-guaranteeing
authenticity. So if you've felt a
